Submission of Papers

Accepted articles, following peer review, may be published in Springer (Scopus), Atlantis Press (CPCI of Web of Science), or Tirant lo Blanch (SPI Q1), depending on the format, topic, or language (which may be English, Spanish, or Portuguese). In all formats, presentations may be given either in person or virtually at the conference.

Remember! Upload the complete paper if you are participating with publication.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: The names you use for registration will be the ones that appear on your certificate. Please write your name exactly as you want it to appear on your certifications.

Articles can be submitted in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.

ENGLISH

Articles submitted in English can be sent to one of the following two collections:

  1. Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies, indexed in Scopus (consult the author guidelines on the Springer website). You can also download the template here. These articles must fall within the topics of the collection (see here), focusing on information systems and technologies, as well as their influence on communication and/or social sciences. The maximum length is 10 pages, and no additional pages will be allowed. Articles exceeding 10 pages will be redirected to the Atlantis Press collection. Once approved for publication in the SIST series, English articles must be accompanied by a publication consent form, which can be downloaded here.
  2. Atlantis Press, series Atlantis Highlights in Social Sciences, Education and Humanities. You can download the template here. The maximum length is 12 pages. Articles for this collection should be empirical studies oriented towards Communication, Political Science, Sociology, or the broader field of Social Sciences from a more traditional perspective, or where technology is considered a contextual factor.

The event organization will decide where the English articles will be published based on the topics addressed.

SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE

Articles submitted in Spanish or Portuguese must be between 4500 and 5500 words. They will be sent to the publisher Tirant Lo Blanch (ranked number 1 in the SPI). All images or graphics included in the articles must include a source. Preferably, the IMRaD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion + Conclusions <optional section>) should be followed. References should adhere to the APA 7th edition standards. All style instructions can be downloaded in this template.

In all three cases, submissions must not have been previously published, must not be under review for any other conference or publication, and must not include any information that could identify the authors. Therefore, author names, affiliations, and emails should not be included in the version submitted for review by the Scientific Committee. This information should only be included in the final version of accepted articles, saved in Word format.
