There are four participation options available for ICOMTA 2026:
Option 1
Submission of full papers that, after peer review, may be published in one of these three options:
- Springer (Scopus)
- Atlantis Press (Web of Science CPCI)
- Tirant lo Blanch (SPI Q1)
This submission also includes presenting the proposal at the Conference. See all the information [here].
Deadline for full paper submission: May 9, 2026.
Option 2
Submission of abstracts for presentation at the Conference, with the possibility of publication in the special issues. To be eligible, the topic must be consistent with the focus of the special issues.
First special issue: «Political communication in times of polarization, populism, and post-truth» in the journal Palabra Clave (Scopus Q2). Please check here all the information about submission and the selection process.
The remaining special issues will be confirmed shortly.
- Abstract submission deadline: May 9, 2026
- Abstract acceptance notification: by July 25, 2026
- Full paper submission request: August 15, 2026
- Presentation registration fee payment: by July 31, 2026
** You will be informed whether your abstract has been selected for an extended version once registration has been completed.
Option 3
Submission of abstracts for presentation at the Conference, without publication. See full details [here].
Submission deadline: July 20, 2026.
Option 4
Open participation to attend the Conference in person or online, which includes: attendance at keynote lectures, all workshops, and all presentations. See more information [here].
Registration deadline: August 31, 2026.
Note: All participants will receive their corresponding certificates of participation.
