Call for Papers

Scope

ICOMTA’26 – VI International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies invites the entire scientific, academic, and professional community to submit contributions, which may be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. There are four participation modalities: (1) submitting your full paper, (2) submitting your conference presentation abstract with the possibility of publication in special issues, (3) submitting your conference presentation abstract without publication, or (4) simply attending in person or online. Depending on the publisher, full papers will be indexed in Scopus, CNKI (Web of Science), Dimensions, EBSCO Discovery Service, Google Scholar, Naver, OCLC WorldCat Discovery Service, ProQuest-ExLibris Primo, ProQuest-ExLibris Summon, TD Net Discovery Service, or Wanfang Data.

Full papers and abstracts will undergo a double-blind review by at least two members of the Scientific Committee, based on relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. Submissions must be related to one of the main themes proposed for the Conference or fall within the permanent Working Groups (Workshops).

Submission of papers

Full papers must not have been previously published, must not be under review for any other conference or publication, and must not include any information that could identify the authors. Therefore, author names, affiliations, and email addresses must not be included in the version submitted for evaluation by the Scientific Committee. This information should only be included in the final version of accepted papers, saved in Word. Files must be uploaded to the conference management system as a PDF.

Based on the Scientific Committee’s evaluation, a paper may be rejected or accepted; if accepted, it may be accepted as is or with minor revisions, which the author must complete before submitting the final version.

Authors of accepted papers will have 15 minutes to present their work in a Conference Working Session; approximately 5 minutes of discussion will follow each presentation.

Registration

To ensure that an accepted paper is published or an abstract is presented, at least one of the authors must be fully registered. In the case of a paper, it must follow the suggested template and page limit (depending on the format). In addition, all recommended changes must be addressed by the authors before submitting the final version.
