Abstract

This workshop aims to address the phenomenon of disinformation and its impact on public and private institutions, political parties, and media outlets, with a focus on the regional and local levels. Additionally, it seeks to explore citizens’ perceptions of these entities and their opinions on which organizations and actors are the main sources of disinformation.

Particular attention will be given to how disinformation fosters hate speech, denialism, divisive narratives, and anti-system rhetoric, especially in the context of events such as electoral processes or crises.
