The Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RECSM) based in Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, is organising the annual Winter Methods School this March 11th – 19th, and the annual Summer Methods School from June 25th – July 12th, 2024, for which WAPOR LATAM members have a 30% discount!
The intensive courses are for academics and professionals hoping to gain up-to-date skills in survey methodologies, data analysis and broader research methods applicable to the social sciences.
The registration deadline for the Winter School is before the 4th of March. Participation can be in person or online. The courses are:
· Measuring Citizen’s Digital Behaviors Using Web Trackers and Data Donations, taught by Oriol Bosch from the University of Oxford (taught in English)
· Going Beyond Conventional Web Surveys: Using new types of data within web surveys, taught by Melanie Revilla from the Institute of International Studies of Barcelona (taught in English)
· Ecological Inference: Deciphering individual voting behavior from aggregated data, taught by Jose M Pavia from the University of Valencia (taught in Spanish)
All Winter School participants also have exclusive access to the WEB DATA OPP workshop (an in person event), bringing together academics and practitioners who will present their work on the topic of using new data types in online survey research. Professor Mick Couper, University of Michigan, will be the keynote speaker.
