Abstract
The main goal of this workshop is to explore the interrelationship between cybermedia, journalistic professionalization, emerging information consumption, misinformation, and communication aimed at social change and peace. In a context where digitalization and rapid technological evolution are constantly transforming the media landscape, it is crucial for researchers to analyze how these dynamics affect both the production and consumption of information. This workshop will foster a space for dialogue and reflection between academics and professionals, enabling the sharing of knowledge and experiences on best practices in an increasingly complex information environment.
The scope of this session extends to generating strategies that promote ethical and responsible journalism, as well as identifying effective tools to combat misinformation. Participating researchers will have the opportunity to collaborate in the development of theoretical and practical frameworks that strengthen professionalization in communication, while discussing innovative approaches to address current challenges in information consumption. By integrating these themes, the session not only seeks to contribute to academia but also to the creation of collaborative networks that drive initiatives focused on peace and social justice, thereby consolidating a collective commitment to information quality and social responsibility in the digital age.
